Genvis is on a mission to transform how public safety teams keep communities safe.

We’re not content to simply build tech that makes this possible, we’re actively driving the agenda to make it happen.

Genvis is on a public safety mission

Doing good through technology is in our DNA, it’s in each mission we step into as we work towards our vision of transforming how public safety is delivered globally.

Genvis has been supporting people impacted by Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) since our inception in 2017 and now we’re launching a technology-based initiative across Australia and Canada to fundamentally change how support is delivered to women and children experiencing family, domestic or sexual violence.

The Safe with Milli Pilot

We partner with nonprofits, government agencies, and funding bodies to use technology that puts victim-survivors at the centre of protection and support service delivery. Genvis helps to actualise the tireless work of service providers and government’s good intentions with fit-for-purpose tools that work for and not against victim-survivors and frontline support workers.

The Milli - Cudo combo step up

Milli is a free mobile app designed to help people experiencing FDV to stay safe and access support on their terms. It connects directly with Genvis’ Cudo for Case Management software, allowing secure, direct communication and exchange of information between people at risk and the service providers delivering programs and support to them.

Why FDV and why now?

Gender-based, intimate partner and family violence is rampant in our communities. Some governments have declared it an epidemic. Many have made reducing it a priority. Few have made meaningful progress. We need more action and less reference material. A credible ‘how’ to support impacted people through tech—for governments, support organisations and impacted people themselves.

Experts know what’s needed. Safe with Milli delivers “the how”

Globally, experts agree that addressing FDV requires a comprehensive and multifaceted approach.

Recommendations consistently include:

  • Enabling survivor access to services on their terms
  • Improving coordination and collaboration between support organisations and government agencies
  • Holding perpetrators accountable through the collection of evidence of harm
  • Improving data quality and sharing
  • Enabling survivor access to services on their terms
  • Providing researchers with an evidence-base to better inform service design, delivery and policy

We walk how others talk.

Genvis is a For Profit, For Good company. We direct our profits with intentionality. We commit to walking our talk and actively fostering a safer world, so we’ve invested more than one million dollars to develop the pilot technology. We’ve also chosen to make Milli freely available to anyone facing harm to ensure that empowerment and safety are accessible to all.

Genvis and pilot sponsors are funding the first cohort of participating service providers. We welcome support from private companies and donors to enable more organisations to participate.
